The Spinarak family is one of the few predator bug Pokémon in the Pokémon kingdom. Spinaracks and Ariadoses are patient and stealthy creatures. Using their webs and sensitive hairs, they are able to capture just about any bug Pokémon from Caterpies to Venomoths to even their own kind. Some iterations of the Spinarack family are known to even hunt small mammal Pokémon like Rattatas. The Spinarak family live for the most part a solitary life. The only instances where members of this family will meet is for either a territorial conflict or mating.

The Spinarak family is a unique family when comes to breeding. After the male has mated with the female, the female kills the male and lays her eggs inside the body of the male. The male's body will then be used as nest/nourishment for the newly hatched Spinaracks. Females tend to mate with the biggest and bulkiest males, to insure the best start for their offspring. In some parts of the world, male Ariadoses will kill prey and lure females to mate with them. The larger the prey the better the chances. In some instance, when two males have spotted a female; male Ariadoses would fight for the right to mate with the female. Usually in those fights, the loser would end up being the nest for the female's eggs. If the female decides that the loser's body is not sufficient enough to nourish her young, she will even kill the victor. Zoologists have recorded on many occasions, where male Ariadoses will flee from the female after mating. Very few of those recordings the male was successful.

 Happy belated-Valentines Day?

:eager: I would really like to receive feedback on the environments, seeing as that is the purpose of this series. The documentary info takes quite a lot of time, because I am really making most of this up based off of what info I can find on them.

:bulletblack: P.S: Just a reminder, I post "Close Up" pics of the Pokémon featuring in the upcoming Pokémon Planet picture in my Scrap folder before the pictures comes out. So make sure you have the "Scraps" checked off if your watching me to get those sneak preview of whats to come. :D
